Rediscovering the innate wisdom and knowing inherent in holding space for the unfolding of life in a circle - within and without - is one of the core offerings of the She Stands Tall Project. We believe that gathering, meeting and sharing in circle is a spiritual practice. It brings everyone at par irrespective of age, race, ethnicity, nationality, and power. Every face is visible in a circle, intimacy sets itself in motion, and a deep vulnerability becomes present as we look around, make eye contact, and become mirrors for each other in every possible way. Each connection in the circle holds a part of the truth and together we become whole.
Indigenous cultures have witnessed all aspects of their life unfold within circles since time immemorial. The deepest truth known by all beings was held in its wholeness within a circle - balance reigned. As time shifted, the circle got broken, and the whole truth was divided into its parts. Each part began to consider its part as the whole, began to dominate it, justify it and impose it, thus knowledge got distorted and imbalance happened.
Through Circle centered facilitation, we envision to revive the circle way of holding space and the wisdom and truth innate in every body that holds the rim of the circle. Through circle we also, bring awareness to the place of ritual in giving meaning to simple acts of lives and to reclaim the Sacred in the process.
We host circles both in physical and virtual space, and we have realized that the power of the circle can still felt, seen and experienced by all those who join the rim of the circle. We host different types of circle - women only, women and children only, and everyone included. Each circle creates the space for deep intimacy and vulnerability to emerge and be held in sacredness as is the need .
We will support you to learn the ways of the circle, to hold circle spaces in your professional and personal containers. Please feel free to reach out to us.
"The Circle has healing power. In the Circle, we are all equal. When in the Circle, no one is in front of you. No one is behind you. No one is above you. No one is below you. The Sacred Circle is designed to create unity. The Hoop of Life is also a circle. In this hoop there is a place for every species, every race, every tree and every plant. It is this completeness of Life that must be respected in order to bring about health on this planet."
